Main Objectives of Agricultural Expertise Information Centers:


Sardar Krishinagar, Anand, Junagadh and Navsari Krishi Universities came into existence on April 1, 2009 with the main objective of increasing the agricultural production of the state through the coordination of agricultural education, research and extension education activities and especially to improve the economic condition of the rural people of the state. This huge goal as well as the activities for the development of agriculture in the area and its adjoining areas of the state are undertaken by these agricultural universities.

Kushi research operations are based on different crops. The University has major research centers and sub-research centers for the research of important crops of the area covered.

Efforts are being made by the agronomists to find new improved varieties of crops keeping in view the farming needs of different districts and increase the agricultural production through appropriate production techniques, pest control methods as well as proper management of natural resources.

At these centers, research experiments are conducted to suit the needs and perplexing questions of the farmers and result-oriented farmer-useful research recommendations are issued every year. Due to its special progress, the Agricultural Universities of Gujarat have got a place among the leading agricultural universities of the country.

With the help of Indian Council of Agricultural Research, a total of four Kushi Expertise Information Centers are functioning in Krishi Universities in the State of Gujarat. In today's information age, new experts spread very fast to the farmers and the farmers can get these new experts from one place and adopt them at low cost and get more good quality produce. Through the activities of this agricultural expertise center, the farmers have gained understanding and improved their standard of living by increasing their agricultural production by two to two times and earning more income. Agricultural Expertise Information Centers are a blessing and pilgrimage for all the districts and for the farmers around the centers and are centers for finding solutions to any problems of the farmers.

Main Objectives of Agricultural Expertise Information Centers:


To provide the University with the services available to the farmers such as agricultural expertise, agricultural information and seeds of various crops produced from a single place.

Provide guidance and solution to perplexing questions in agro horticulture, animal husbandry, home science, agricultural engineer and allied fields.

Disseminate expertise by publishing literature on agriculture, animal husbandry and related topics.

To know the approach of agricultural experts from farmers and convey it to agricultural scientists.

Thus, farmers can get scientific knowledge related to agriculture, animal husbandry, home science and allied subjects, solving perplexing questions and seeds / seedlings available at the university from the same place and easily from Kunshi Expertise Information Center (Attic). In addition, the Agricultural Expertise Centers distribute free agricultural information and literature.

The center organizes a variety of trainings in collaboration with various extension centers to impart the latest revised results of the university as well as new agricultural experts to extension workers and farmers. Farming experts also organize various extension activities to reach out to extension workers.

We hope that farmer friends, farmer women, farmer youth will take maximum advantage of the agricultural expertise centers of our state and improve their standard of living and their own economic and social development.
