Paddy (ડાંગર)

 Paddy (ડાંગર)

Benefit from Shri Paddhati

60-70% of drinking water is saved.

5% seed is saved as 5 kg seed is required. Due to the high cost of hybrid paddy, this method is more advantageous for hybrid paddy cultivation.

More healthy and tasty rice can be obtained due to organic farming method.

Less input costs more and yields better.

The plant sticks quickly without being pushed. Therefore, the crop is ready 8-10 days earlier.

This method is more suitable for breeder and foundation seed breeding as the need for seeds is less as rogging is less due to wide spacing.

Seed quality obtained by this method is better.

Why do we accept Shri Paddhati?

A poor farmer can get 40 to 5 manas of paddy in an acre of land by the Chilachalu system. The need for water remains low.

Shri Paddhati can be done in three seasons namely winter, summer, monsoon.

Production can be obtained from any type of farm. Apart from low lying farms, any farmer who cultivates paddy can cultivate with this method.

Any farmer can cultivate paddy in Shree method - from one acre of land he can grow enough paddy for his whole family for the whole year.

Shri - Introduction

Integrated (close) cultivation of paddy which is known by the short name of "Shri".

This farming is not for any single paddy variety or hybrid variety but is a special method for paddy cultivation.

The "Shree" technique, one of the various techniques for efficient water conservation, is becoming popular among farmers across the country.

Shree is a combination of several techniques, with some changes in paddy cultivation, soil, water, as well as nutrition, upbringing, planting time, water, nutrition and weed control.

Planting

Prepares the farm according to the old method For one acre of land 40 to 50 quintals of compost / manure should be applied.

The field should be moist at the time of planting. And there should be less than an inch of water above the mud.

Dharu should be planted within half an hour.

Dharu should be planted in muddy soil with native soil.

The distance between the line and the plant should be 10 to 12 inches.

Weeding and watering

Conovider machine should be operated at least twice after planting.

The Conovider machine flips the soil from the bottom so that the soil gets air. And weeds are mixed to make compost.

Weeds should be removed from both sides of the paddy line.

Highlights of planting

5 to 15 days old seedlings are planted.

Plants are planted in rows at a distance of 10 to 15 inches.

2-3 kg of seeds are required for planting in one acre of land.

Weeding at least twice is required.

20 to 30 feet from a single plant

4 to 5 times more production than the current system

Seed grooming

Take 2 kg of seeds for one acre of land.

Get enough water in half a bucket of water so that the hen's egg comes up and starts swimming.

Remove the egg and put the seeds in it.

Take out the seeds that seem to be floating on because they are bad seeds.

Wash good seeds with clean water to remove salt from the surface.

Place the seeds on a linen cloth and add one teaspoon (2 gm) of bavistin powder.

Bavistin mixed seeds should be wrapped in a damp cloth and kept in a shady place or house for germination for 2 hours.

By treating the seeds, the crop can be protected from diseases.

Nursery Preparation

To prepare four plots of 100 square feet i.e. 20 feet by 8 feet for planting one acre of paddy. One acre of farm requires 3 kg of seeds for planting.

Keep a distance of one and half feet between each plot to remove irrigation or excess water.

Apply 2 to 3 baskets of well-drained compost / manure in each plot.

Divide the treated sprouted seeds into four equal parts. Sprinkle an equal amount of each part in these four plots.
